Even though you don’t see the effects of your obedience and faithfulness to Me, I know that when you have obeyed My whispers and followed where I have led you, you have always borne much fruit.  So many times I have called you to follow Me into a new direction by faith, and as you have taken those first steps in the direction that I have led you, listening to My voice and obeying My call, then I have helped you to accomplish My purpose.

As I explained in Isaiah 55:11 – just like the rain that I send from Heaven, those little drops fall to ground and water the earth and cause the plants to grow and flourish.  When I send you to speak to someone, or I call you to share the gospel, or to follow Me into a new project – because you have given your life and heart to Me, then I will not cause your work to “come back void” – but it will prosper and accomplish the purpose that I have ordained.

So don’t despise the day of small things or these beginning steps as you launch out into this new project. And don’t worry about whether you will get the results you are expecting or hoping for. You can trust Me that I will accomplish My purpose whenever I call you to follow Me in a new direction. I know you get great joy when you are in My will, and My joy is going to be your great strength in the days to come. Just keep following Me step by step – and I promise that I will complete the work that I have begun in you. (Philippians 1:6)

No matter how high and steep the mountain looks in front of you, trust Me that I am with you every step of the way. When you look up the rocky path and you wonder how you will make it, I will reach out My hand and tell you, “Fear not, I am with you.” Don’t be dismayed – remember that I am your God.  I will help you, as you scale this mountain, I will strengthen you when you feel so weak that you don’t know if you will be able to go on, and I will uphold you with My strong right arm. (Isaiah 41:10)  And when you are in a valley – a time of decision with many options and paths in front of you – don’t be discouraged, wondering which way to go. Trust Me to lead you along the right path, the best way ahead.  And if that path becomes dark, and you are having a hard time seeing the way, then I will be a light to you, and I will make the darkness light around you.

Remember that you are Mine, and I have purchased you and redeemed you when I died for you on the cross.  I died for all mankind, but not millions of faceless people – No! – I died for each one individually, specifically and personally. You are Mine!  You are My bride!  And you will be with Me for all eternity!  And I will continue to lead you along this path of life until you have finished the course, and you will hear My words of love to you, “Well done.” (2 Timothy 4:7, Matthew 25:21)

Whenever you have questions, and you need to know what direction you should go, then simply come to Me, and ask me.  I am always ready to answer your call for help and for guidance.  Now, in the world, everyone has gotten used to asking AI for answers, and although this can be very helpful to have this knowledge at your fingertips, you have to be mindful and on your guard, knowing that I am True Wisdom and only I know the future.  So, of course you would want to ask AI for historical or practical questions, or for research.  But it is so important for you to remember that I want you to bring your life-questions to Me.  And I am always ready to guide you into all Truth.  “Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know!”  (Jeremiah 33:3)  Ask and it shall be given to you. Seek and you will find! (Matthew 7:7)

When I call you to follow Me into a new direction, a new project, I don’t want you to worry about whether or not it will bring fruit.  As long as you are following Me step by step, trust Me that I can take your mustard see of Faith, coupled with obedience to Me, and I can move mountains and bring tremendous results. (Matthew 17:20)  Remember when My disciples had toiled all night and caught nothing, but when they obeyed me and cast their net on the other side which was a small step of obedience, I brought such a huge catch that the net almost broke. (John 21:6) So just take little steps day by day as I lead you, and soon you will start to see the seeds poking out of the ground.  So don’t worry about the future, just go forward step by step and follow Me. Trust Me for the fruit, trust Me to cause My Word to accomplish its purpose.  I am simply calling you to obey Me and follow where I lead you.  And then the seed you sow will bring the fruit that I have promised.

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
    and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
    giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
    it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
    and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.

“For you shall go out in joy
    and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and the hills before you
    shall break forth into singing,
    and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.  Isaiah 55:10-12 (ESV)

Like the prodigal son, you feel like you’ve wasted your life and that you have strayed from My house. You let your life get full of work and worries, and you strayed from the life that I called you to of dedication to Me.  So now you have returned to your first love – and I am restoring the joy of salvation in your heart. I am washing you and regenerating your spirit and taking you on this new path up the mountain. You will be so thrilled when we reach the summit together and you look back at your life. You will see all the times that you fell, all the times when you were discouraged and wanted to give up, the times of testing and trial and sacrifice – and you will know that the battle was worth it – because in the end you will be victorious. So press forward to the prize of the high calling.  Remember that I will continue to order your steps and you will delight in your way as we travel up this mountain path together.  When you reach the end of this journey, I will be there ready to receive you into My Heavenly Kingdom where there will be no more tears, no more pain and sorrow.  And I will say the words that you long to hear –“Well done, my good and faithful servant, enter into My Joy!”
