I know your frame – I know that you are human and I remember that you are dust. (Psalm 103:14) I was human as well. I experienced all the same doubts and trials and tests. I was also tired and weary – and my body ached. Even though I was a young man when I was crucified, still I experienced all the pains and trials and earthly battles that you have faced and are facing. (Hebrews 4:15)
When I spend time with you, I want to tell you about the plans I have for you and how the next part of the race is to be run. I am like a coach – in fact I am the best coach of all. And what does a coach do? A coach teaches skills and motivates his athletes. He acts as a guide and mentor, and a role model to help individuals and teams reach their potential.
I have been teaching you and training you throughout your life, and as much as you will listen to Me, I will also teach you new skills and help you develop into the disciple that I have called you to be. I also am your cheerleader and encourager – helping you to get up and try again whenever you falter or fail. (Psalm 37:24) So come to Me each morning to receive your training plan for the day, and let Me continue to encourage you and guide you and help you to fulfill the plan that I have for you!
