The enemy of your soul is always going about as a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8) But I’ve called you to resist the enemy and to go to battle against him with the sword of the Spirit which is My Word.
I know you feel so small and you don’t have as much energy as you used to have. I have called you to serve Me not with physical strength but instead with spiritual fortitude. What is spiritual fortitude? You have fortitude or strength against these attacks by standing firm on the rock of My Word. Studying and reading the Word, memorizing and reviewing scriptures is like calisthenics – you stay supple and toned in the spirit as you work out those muscles many of which you haven’t been using. But true strength comes from lifting weights, carrying burdens and fighting the good fight against the onslaughts of the devil. These battles that you face are making you strong. Remember that the refining fires of testing will burn away the dross and will make you shine more brightly with the light of My love and My spirit. (1 Peter 1:7)
