My Word has endured through the millenniums since I walked the earth. You have the Bible today because my disciples were faithful to record My words and to bear witness of all that they experienced and saw when they walked with me. And throughout the centuries faithful believers preserved the written word – and some were even persecuted for their work to bring the Bible to the common people. William Tyndale, for example, was martyred for his work to translate the Bible into the common language. I ordained the Bible to endure and to be preserved, despite the onslaughts of the devil. As I promised, “Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but My Word shall never pass away.” (Matthew 24:35)
So it is important to treasure the Bible, to ready and study My Word. Commit My promises to memory so that you will have My Word dwelling in your heart and mind. When you have My Word hidden in your heart, I will keep you close to Me, and keep you from straying. My Word will be a lamp to your feet and a light to your soul. (Psalm 119:105)
