When you seek Me in the morning you are creating a vacuum in your heart so that My Spirit can come in an fill you. In order to create that vacuum you have to come away from all the distractions and voices that always come at you in the morning. I called My disciples to come away with Me to the mountain so that we could get away from the noise of the crowds and the constant questions and pleadings from those we met. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to minister to those who came to Me for help and healing, but we needed time apart so that My disciples could sit at My feet and learn from Me. (Matthew 5:1)
So this is a battle that you need to fight every morning when you wake up. You face the pull of distractions, and your to-do list. But you have to let Me raise a standard against these forces that are trying to keep you embroiled in your everyday life, and separated from Me.
So come to Me each morning with an open heart, a hungry heart, and I will fill you! (Matthew 5:6) I am always calling you to come to the waters of My Word so that you can be filled. Your part is to tune in to hear My voice calling you, and to obey My call and come to Me, and I will satisfy your soul with goodness. (Psalm 107:9, Isaiah 55:1-2)
