Come unto Me. Cast all your cares upon Me, for I care for you. As you cast your burdens upon Me, I will sustain you. I will not suffer you to be moved.
The secret of that peace and rest and calmness and faith is in coming to Me. Come to Me to read and absorb My words, to drink from My cool and refreshing living waters that give peace to your soul. Come to Me through your prayers, and through communing with Me in quietness and confidence. Come to Me through your praises, as you rejoice in My presence and praise Me for what I have done and for what I will yet do. And come to Me in rest, when you put aside all the cares of the day and receive release from worry, tension, frustration, and stress. All these things make up the path to peace and calmness of spirit, and lead to resting in Me because you’re trusting in Me.
Once you’ve come to Me and put all your cares upon Me, make a conscious effort, a definite decision, to leave them there in My hands. Realize, and remind yourself often, if necessary, that I love you and care for you. As you give Me your cares, trust that I will take care of them.
