Some of the load you carry when you’re trying to do everything yourself is just plain unnecessary. No one likes to hear that what they’ve been doing could have been left undone and the world would still go on, but that’s the truth. When you make the switch to working with Me through prayer and following My lead, even if it seems to you that you’re sometimes getting less work done, you’ll be doing the work right and doing it in the best and most effective and efficient way, and you’ll wind up saving yourself time in the long run.
Effectiveness and efficiency aren’t only about physical modes of operation. There’s a whole realm—the spiritual realm—which is virtually untouched. So you have to stop, assess the way you’ve been operating, and determine to commit more to Me, to ask for My help more, to put more of the weight into My hands to carry for you. And that might mean leaving some things in the physical realm undone, because while spiritual work is work in the spiritual realm, it still takes time, and that means it sometimes has to take the place of physical work.
It takes time to hear from Me about a complex issue, but it saves more time than trying to figure it all out without Me. It takes time to labor in prayer for someone’s needs, but you could never meet all of their needs yourself, even if you invested your full time in it. It takes time to praise Me, but your spirit is fortified and uplifted and strengthened with My power when you are an effective praise warrior.
I can save you so much time when you receive My divine guidance. I can whisper instruction in your ear as you move along, so that you do a good and proper job from the start. I can lead you so you don’t botch things up and have to go back and do it over or undo a mess. I can lead you by My Spirit so that you do your work with excellence. When you’re working with Me, you reap fruit that remains.
