My promise remains true – if anyone is in Christ, then you are a new creature. Old things are passed away and all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17) When you receive Me into your heart and surrender your will to Me, then you are born again, and I will make all things new in your life.
I take a small caterpillar to illustrate this great principal. The caterpillar goes into the chrysalis , and remains there for more than a week and during that time I am recreating that caterpillar and causing its beautiful wings to appear. When the butterfly breaks free from the cocoon, it is no longer earth bound – but it can fly! It is no longer ugly and despised as a crawling creature, but it is a gorgeous butterfly.
So when you were born again, you were remade, you were born of the spirit and became one of My children! I have given you beautiful wings to fly into the heavenly realm as you set your mind and your affection on things above. I am turning your mind and your heart towards heaven and eternity.
When I say that old things are passed away, I mean that your old self is no more. When the cocoon opens, the caterpillar is gone. It is finished. It has changed, and a new life has come forth—one that flies up toward heaven and understands and sees things from above, no longer from an earthbound perspective.
I know that you don’t feel like a butterfly – because the weights and sins of this life so easily beset you – but you only need to come to Me, look to Me, and let me renew your spirit and I will help you to see things from My heavenly perspective.
