I Chose the Weak Things

Feb 9, 2026 | God's Power

Remember that I chose you – I chose YOU!  I want you to always remember that you are Mine, and I love you! The disciples were looked at as unlearned and ignorant and I chose each one of them to be My Apostles.  And they answered My call.  So many of My men of faith in Hebrews 11 – the Hall of Fame of Faith – felt inadequate, and were in despair or mocked or belittled.  Abel offered a humble sacrifice with a humble heart. Noah was mocked and thought to be crazy as he labored for decades in building the ark.  Abraham left his country with no idea where he was going – and people didn’t understand his calling and they thought he was reckless and strange. Jacob deceived his brother Easau.  And Joseph was thrown into a pit and ended up in prison. He knew his sins of pride were the beginning of his sorrows. David caused his own loyal general to be killed so that he could take Uriah’s wife – and then I said that he was a man after My own heart.  Why?  Because I choose the broken things, the humble hearts, the weak and foolish people who know that without Me they are nothing.

So when you feel weak and you have once again fallen into your sins and failings – look to Me, and remember that I am holding you and I will not let you go!  And I delight in taking broken things and making them whole.  I love using weak and humble hearts to show My love and power to the world!
