If you were a mountain climber, you could try climbing on your own, and even if you have the skills and expertise needed to get you to the top, one false step or unsecured rope could send you plummeting. That’s why even the most experienced climbers usually have partners with them on the climb. They respect the mountain. They know that it’s treacherous and that they can’t ever rely simply on their own skill or experience to get them to the top.
I have given you many talents and you have developed them well. But if you are wise, you will always let Me help you. I’m your guide and partner in life, and by including Me in all that you do each day, you can trust in My control and My miracle-working power.
When I told you to take My yoke upon you, I meant that we would be yoked together, pulling the load together. Of course you also have to do your part, putting your faith into action. But when you are yoked to Me then I will multiple your efforts, I will cause you to bear fruit, and I will give you the strength of spirit that you need, not only in your day to day life – but especially when the storms come and the winds start to roar in this dark and troubled world. Keep strengthening your foundation in My Word, keep taking time with Me in the morning to receive all that I have for you, and I promise that I will order your steps along this journey of life.
